Thieves Steal Guns, Bulletproof Vest From Hayward Home
HAYWARD (CBS SF) – Authorities in Hayward are searching for thieves who stole guns and a bulletproof vest from a home on Tuesday.
Before 10 p.m. Tuesday, the Alameda County sheriff issued an officer safety warning to Hayward Police Department, following a burglary at a home on Parnassus Court.
According to authorities, the home's owner discovered a rifle, several handguns and a level 3 Kevlar vest were stolen.
Hayward police is trying to track down the serial numbers of the weapons and the case remains under investigation.
