Thieves Steal Donations From Vallejo School's Holiday Concert
VALLEJO (CBS SF) -- Thieves stole about $700 in donations during a holiday concert at the Franklin Middle School on Tuesday night, a Vallejo school district spokeswoman said.
The cash donations were being collected at the door of the school's multi-purpose room, Vallejo City Unified School District spokeswoman Alana Shackelford said. The money was being collected to support the school.
Four males grabbed the cash box and ran from the school around 8 p.m., she said.
"It's unbelievable," Shackelford said Wednesday morning.
The musical celebration is one of the school's parent-teacher organization's biggest fundraisers, she said.
Franklin Middle School is located at 501 Starr Ave.
