Thief Steals Truck With Vallejo School Money Inside
VALLEJO (AP) -- Vallejo police are looking for a thief who stole a courier truck with $21,000 in lunch money and other funds belonging to local schools.
A spokeswoman for the Vallejo City Unified School District says the truck—with the cash and coins inside—was stolen after the driver parked outside an elementary school about 3:30 p.m. Tuesday.
Spokeswoman Tish Busselle told the Vallejo Times-Herald that the driver had locked the vehicle and taken the keys with him when he went inside the school.
