The Simpsons - 'Black Widower'
To Bart's horror, Selma announces that her husband-to-be is none other than Sideshow Bob.
Tired of living her life without a man, Selma gets a pen pal from prison. When he is released from jail, she invites him to the Simpsons' home to meet the family. To Bart's amazement, her pen pal is no other than Sideshow Bob, Krusty the Clown's onetime partner until he tried to frame Krusty for armed robbery. He would have gotten away with the deed had it not been for Bart, who solved the crime and turned Sideshow Bob in. Sitting down for dinner with the Simpsons, Sideshow Bob recounts his experience in prison and new outlook on life with Selma. Despite Sideshow's affection towards Selma, Bart does not trust him, even after he asks Selma to marry him. Later, Selma rushes home to watch MacGyver with her sister, a program Sideshow Bob loathes.
Against Bart's objections, Sideshow and Selma are married. Selma sends back video tapes of their honeymoon. Watching their video tapes, Bart cannot help but feel something is not right. Selma experiences wedded bliss on the honeymoon as Sideshow dotes over her every whim. Bart figures out what Sideshow is up to. Arriving just in time with his family and the police, Bart saves Selma from Sideshow Bob's maniacal scheme to blow her up.
Sideshow Bob asks Bart how he deduced the scheme. Bart assures him it was quite elementary: the video showed Sideshow upset when their original honeymoon suite did not have a fireplace; Sideshow knew Selma's inability to smell and taste due to a bottle-rocket accident would prevent her from noticing he had turned the gas on full blast; finally, Selma had given up smoking to prove her love to Sideshow, except for after meals and after MacGyver. Sideshow turned on the gas and left the room while Selma watched MacGyver, knowing she would light up afterwards. But when the police and Homer lit cigars to celebrate the rescue, they ignited the gas. Police Chief Wiggum escorts Sideshow Bob to jail.
