'The Christmas Jumpers' Amateur Dance Crew Goes Hard In Viral Sweater Ad
By @GeorgeJFox
First of all, in the UK, a jumper isn't some kind of dress -- it's what we call a sweater, but that's not the point. These fantastic gentlemen bringing the funk in an advertisement posted to YouTube is all that matters.
Sainsbury's one of UK's largest retailers, posted a video online Monday promoting their line of novelty Christmas sweaters. The trend of donning campy holiday themed sweaters has been building for several years and it's showing no signs of slowing. I'm personally waiting for my Gremlins sweater to ship from Mondo.com. I'll immediately Tweet photos proudly wearing it when it arrives.
The YouTube description reads, "Amateur dad dance crew, The Christmas Jumpers, get down to a remix of Dance Of the Sugar Plum Fairy." The "b-boys" virtually light the stage on fire with their fresh hip-hop moves performed to the dubstep version of the classic holiday song.
Sainsbury's operates over 1,200 supermarkets and convenience stores. Their about us page reads, "Our strong culture and values are part of our identity and integral to our success." They should add "excellent sense of humor" to this list.
Yes, these sweaters are for sale!

The guys in the video are wearing the sweaters available from the Tu, Sainsbury's clothing wing. Here's the Red Snowflake Chest Stripe if you need a closer look, but apparently they're only available in stores.
