HOLLYWOOD (CBSLA.com) — CBS announced Tuesday actress Kaley Cuoco of "The Big Bang Theory" will return as host of the People's Choice Awards for the second year in a row.
"It's an honor to return as host of the 2013 People's Choice Awards and kick off awards season with one of the most fun events of the year," Cuoco said in a statement.
The 26-year-old actress plays Penny on the Big Bang Theory, which won the People's Choice Award for Favorite TV Comedy in 2010.
In 2003, "8 Simple Rules" won Favorite New TV Comedy. Cuoco played Bridget Hennesy in the ABC sitcom.
The People's Choice Awards is the only major awards show that allows fans to pick categories, nominees, and winners across movie, music and television genres. From Oct. 23 to Nov. 2, fans can vote to narrow down a selection of nominees in more than 40 categories.
The People's Choice Awards will air live on CBS2 from the Nokia Theatre on Jan. 9, 2013.
