'The Amazing Race' Winners Revealed
(CBS NEWS) - On KPIX 5, "The Amazing Race" has crowned another winning team.
The show's 22nd season came to an end Sunday night during a two-hour finale that took teams to Belfast, Northern Ireland, and then to the finish line in Washington.
So, who are this season's champions? [Spoiler alert!]
Hockey brothers Bates and Anthony Battaglia finished the race first, winning the show's $1 million prize.
"I can't remember the last time I felt like this," Bates told host Phil Keoghan at the finish line after learning he and his brother had won the race.
They beat out newlyweds Max and Katie Bichler, who came in second place. Roller-derby moms Mona Egender and Beth Bandimere came in third.
Country singers Caroline Cutbirth and Jennifer Kuhle were eliminated in Belfast during the first hour of Sunday's episode, where teams had to go bog snorkeling and choose between creating graffiti art and serving a five-course meal to passengers at the shipyard where the Titanic was built.
In Washington, teams posed for a picture with "President Obama" at a novelty photo shop (they were inserted into the photo's background so it looked like they were with the president), and went on a spy-themed hunt for a briefcase with that contained their next clue. They also went to Nationals Park, where one team member had to dress up as a mascot and catch a fly ball from their teammate, who was ziplining above them.
The final task tested teams' memories -- one team member had to search a ball pit to find ones marked with the countries they visited this season, and the other team member had to put them in order. Bates and Anthony finished the challenge before the other teams had even arrived.
