Tesla Employee Remembered At San Mateo Boat Ceremony
SAN MATEO (KCBS) _ A 32-foot long sculling boat was dedicated on Sunday in honor of a former employee of the Palo Alto electric car firm Tesla.
Andrew Ingram was among three men killed when the plane they were in crashed in East Palo Alto earlier this year.
"Andrew, wherever you are, you're always in our hearts and we shall never forget you," said Cynthia Neuwalder with the Bear Island Aquatic Center.
KCBS' Tim Ryan Reports:
Ingram perished on a foggy day in February with two colleagues. The cause of the crash has still not been determined.
The boat was dedicated in a ceremony at Parkside Aquatic Park.
"Andrew was a sharp guy with a witty, edgy sense of humor," said Neuwalder. "And for those of you who knew Andrew, he was easily recognizable at regattas."
Pilot Doug Bourn and passenger Brian Finn were also killed in the crash.
