'Terminator: Genesis' Filming at Oracle Headquarters
REDWOOD CITY (CBS SF) - The latest installment of the widely popular "Terminator" series of films, "Terminator: Genesis" will be filming scenes at Oracle Headquarters in Redwood City. According to a notice that was distributed around to businesses and residents around Oracle, the film shoot will run starting Monday, July 28 through Wednesday, July 30. Additional film shoots are scheduled to be filmed in San Francisco.
Primary filming will occur overnight and indoors. However, lighting and special production vehicles are visible on the Oracle grounds. The notice also alerts Oracle neighbors that special effects activity including planned "gunshot" sounds may be heard from the Oracle property, if the Redwood City Police Department approves it.
"Terminator: Genesis" is the first of a stand-alone trilogy, produced by Skydance Productions, the studio behind "Star Trek: Into Darkness," "Jack Ryan: Shadow Recruit" and the recent "True Grit" reboot. Oracle founder Larry Ellison's children David Ellison and Megan Ellison are executive producers of the film. Which explains Oracle's involvement with the film. Megan Ellison also a producer, founded the production company "Annapurna Pictures" while brother David is the CEO of Skydance Productions. Both siblings will also produce the next two films of the stand-alone trilogy.
Nothing has been confirmed as to former Governor Arnold Schwarzenegger's inclusion in filming at Oracle Headquarters.
