Teens Protest Abercrombie & Fitch Perfume Policy In San Francisco
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - Green teens have taken aim at retailer Abercrombie & Fitch over a perfume, and company practices that they say "stink."
Teens from San Rafael-based "Teens Turning Green" campaign marched outside Abercrombie & Fitch's Westfield Mall location in downtown San Francisco, upset about the chain's signature fragrance "Fierce."
"Abercrombie circulates their perfume through their store constantly, as well as manually through spray bottles, without any regard to what kind of effects it could be having on their customers' or employees' health," said Emily Packer. "Even if you're just walking by, they have two outdoor sprayers, so everyone is really affected by it.
The teens created posters that mocked Abercrombie & Fitch's racy ads.
"We had the guys without shirts on, and it was all in black and white, but we had gas masks on, to symbolize that the air is unsafe," said Packer.
There were also protests in New York, and Dallas.
