Teens Arrested In San Leandro Golf Club Shooting Deaths

SAN LEANDRO (BCN) - Two 17-year-old Hayward boys have been arrested on suspicion of murder for the shooting deaths of two young men at a party at a San Leandro golf club last month, police said Tuesday.

Maurius "TJ" Robinson, 19, of Oakland, and Kwame Nunn, 18, of Mountain House, were shot at about 9:50 p.m. on Oct. 9 at the Wedges Bar & Grill at the Monarch Bay Golf Club, San Leandro police said.

They were attending a party when shots were fired on the dance floor, according to police.

Two other young Oakland residents were also shot but were treated for their injuries and released.

The two teen boys were arrested Monday after an extensive investigation in which multiple search warrants were served in Hayward, Oakland and San Francisco, police said. Their names are being withheld because of their age.

The boys were already in custody at the Alameda County Juvenile Hall on unrelated charges, police said.

The case will be forwarded to the Alameda County District Attorney's Office on Wednesday for charging.

Police ask that anyone with information about the case call Sgt. Robert McManus at (510) 577-3237.
