Teen SF Muni Passenger Robbed At Knifepoint After Exiting Light-Rail Train
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- An 18-year-old riding on a San Francisco Municipal Railway light-rail line near the Glen Park neighborhood was held up with a knife Wednesday afternoon after getting off the train, police said.
The robbery took place after the victim exited the J-Church Muni line somewhere between the Glen Park and Balboa Park stops, police said. The 18-year-old was not robbed on the train.
The suspect approached the victim from behind and grabbed his backpack and then punched the victim. The suspect then brandished a knife and elbowed the victim before running away, police said.
The robber got away with the victim's backpack, laptop and portable game system, police said.
The victim refused medical attention.
The suspect was only described as a Hispanic man between 20 and 25 years old, according to police.
