Teen Dies After Beaten By Mob, Shot In San Jose
SAN JOSE (KCBS) — A teen boy who was beaten by a mob and shot in the head in San Jose on Wednesday evening died at the hospital on Thursday. Police said the death is gang-related and will increase patrols.
Manuel Urzoua, 16, was attacked on Wednesday around 6 p.m. on the 1600 block of Virginia Avenue near King and Story Roads. Urzoua was taken to the hospital where he died from his injuries.

No suspects have been arrested or identified but San Jose police spokesman Albert Morales said police will step up patrols in "gang hot spots" over the weekend.
"We will be pro-actively sending out more officers into the area where the homicide occurred so we'll be posting some of our special operations Metro unit as well as some of our MERGE officers in various locations throughout the city," he said.
Family members described Urzoua as a "shy and sweet" boy.
