Teen Arrested In Nevada County For Fatal San Francisco Stabbing
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A 15-year-old boy has been arrested for the fatal stabbing of a man in San Francisco's Hunters Point neighborhood last week, police said Tuesday.
The boy, whose name has not been released because he is a juvenile, was arrested in Nevada County around 2 a.m. Sunday for the slaying of 20-year-old Cameron Myers, police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.
Officers responded at about 1:45 a.m. last Wednesday to a report of a man screaming near Innes Avenue and Aurelious Walker Drive, police said. They arrived to find Myers suffering from stab wounds.
He was taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where he died.
Police have not released details about what led to the arrest of the boy, who remains in custody in Nevada County juvenile hall on suspicion of murder.
San Francisco police are working to extradite the boy back to the city, he said.
