Teen Allegedly Robs Man At Gunpoint In Novato Shopping Center
NOVATO (CBS SF) -- A Novato teen was arrested Thursday on suspicion of robbing a cell phone from a man at gunpoint, a police sergeant said.
Quandre Charles, 18, is suspected of pointing a gun at a 40-year-old Novato man and demanding money around 10:20 p.m. near the Del Prado Shopping Center in the 500 block of Alameda del Prado in Novato, Novato police Sgt. Nicholas Frey said.
The victim gave Charles his cell phone and Charles searched the victim's pockets for more items of value, Frey said.
Charles fled to an apartment complex across the street from the shopping center, and responding officers arrested him inside an apartment, Frey said.
The victim positively identified Charles as the suspect. Charles was arrested and booked for robbery into the Marin County Jail. He is being held under $250,000 bail, Frey said.
