Tech Report: Take The Photo, Then Focus
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) – Blurry photos could soon be a thing of the past thanks to new technology from Lytro, a Silicon Valley startup that will let photographers adjust the focus after the photo has already been taken.
"One of the good things about this camera is that it's faster because it no longer has to be automatically focused or manually focused," said KCBS Technology Analyst Larry Magid.
"You just take the picture and the camera has lots of little tiny lenses in a very small place that let in much more light than a traditional camera so it captures the full spectrum of information, and then later you can decide what aspect of the picture is the most important," Magid said.

Magid said that examples of how the camera will be able to fix pictures are very impressive, even transferring the focus from the foreground to the background of a picture.
The camera won't be out until the end of the year, and Lytro hasn't yet revealed how much it will cost.
