Tech Report: 'Hangouts On Air' Allows Google+ Users To Broadcast
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) — Google+ is making it easier for you to share live video of yourself with other users of its social network with its expanded Hangouts on Air feature.
The Mountain View-based internet giant launched Hangouts, which are group video chats, when they first launched Google+ several months ago. For the most part, the format was limited to 10 people.
Hangouts On Air was initially introduced to a limited amount of users, including President Barack Obama.
KCBS Tech Report:
I think it's a great feature, but you have to think of the implications of this. I might use it professionally to show off some tech products. But one has to be aware of whom and what is in the background, what one is wearing and being careful to not say something one can regret, because it's live.
Google+ will also make an immediate archive of the show available on its own site as well as YouTube.
