Tech Report: Debt Debate Could Help The Smartphone Industry
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) - The debt ceiling debate in Washington could benefit the smartphone industry.

KCBS Technology Analyst Larry Magid:
KCBS Technology Analyst Larry Magid said with the conversion from analog to digital some airwaves have been freed up.
"Senator Reid and many others want to auction some of them off for commercial purposes to companies like AT&T and Verizon," he said.
Magid expects it'll happen, but that it won't be a serious discussion as part of the deficit reduction bill.
"I think the Senate has bigger fish to fry right now," he said.
