Taxi Driver Beaten, Robbed In SF Potrero Hill Neighborhood
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - A taxi driver was struck in the head and robbed in San Francisco's Potrero Hill neighborhood late Thursday night, police said.
The robbery was reported at 11:40 p.m. at the intersection of 25th and De Haro streets.
The 32-year-old cab driver drove the suspect to the intersection and when he stopped, the suspect struck him in the back of the head with an unknown object, according to police.
The suspect then demanded property from the driver, who handed over his wallet and an undisclosed amount of cash, police said.
The suspect fled and had not been found as of Friday morning.
The victim suffered a laceration to the back of his head but refused medical treatment, police said.
