SWAT Teams Surround Vallejo Home After Report Of Home Invasion Robbery
VALLEJO (CBS SF) -- Authorities were investigating a possible home invasion robbery in Vallejo Wednesday night.
SWAT teams surrounded a home in the 1200 block of Belmont Avenue after receiving a call around 6 p.m.
Witnesses said two armed suspects were inside and were holding two residents hostage, but it appeared residents of the home had fled out the back door after the gunmen broke in.
The Solano County Sheriff's Office said hostage negotiators tried multiple times to contact anyone inside, but after six hours of no response, SWAT officers entered the home after midnight and found it empty.
