SUV Crashes Into San Jose School Bus, 4 Taken To Hospital
SAN JOSE (KCBS) -- At least four people, including three children, were injured when a school bus collided head-on with an SUV in San Jose Thursday afternoon.
The crash was reported at 4:03 p.m. near East Julian and North 28th streets, according to the California Highway Patrol.
CHP officer Chris Falkowski told KCBS the bus was headed westbound on Julian when a white pickup truck, heading eastbound, suddenly turned left in front of the bus. The two vehicles collided, which then caused the bus to then collide head on with a blue Ford Explorer.
Falkwoski said the bus was carrying about 4 dozen students from nearby San Jose High School at the time. Three of them complained of neck pain and were taken to a local hospital for treatment.
The driver of the Explorer also complained of pain and was also hospitalized as a precaution.
The accident is under investigation and alcohol does not appear to be a factor.
