Suspicious Package Prompts Street Closures In SF Mission District
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Streets have reopened in San Francisco's Mission district after a police bomb squad investigated a suspicious package late Friday night and early Saturday morning, police said.
Shortly before 10:45 p.m., police blocked off the intersection of 17th and Valencia streets and issued a shelter-in-place for the area, police spokesman Officer Albie Esparza said.
According to police, the intersection reopened shortly before 2 a.m., after the bomb squad deemed the situation harmless and secured the area.
