Suspect Vehicle Info Released After Witness Reports Seeing Woman Thrown Into Trunk In Oakland Kidnapping
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- The Oakland Police Department has released more information regarding a suspect being sought for an alleged kidnapping Monday night.
A witness reported seeing a suspect grab a woman and throw her into the trunk of a car in the 8100 block of Sterling Drive in Oakland around 10 p.m.
The suspect's vehicle is described as a two-door, black car of unknown make, possible 2000s-era model, with tinted windows and blue paper plates in lieu of a license plate, police said. The vehicle reportedly fled from Sterling Drive onto McCormick Avenue.
According to police, the suspect is described as a black man in his mid-20s who is about 6 feet tall and weighs between 180 and 200 pounds. He was wearing a red shirt and dark pants at the time of the kidnapping.
The victim is described as a black woman who was wearing a brown or tan halter top.
The Oakland Police Department is asking anyone who may have information on the case to contact the Police Department's youth and family services division at (510) 238-3641.
