Suspect In Antioch Bar Homicide Turns Himself In To Police
ANTIOCH (CBS SF) -- A 24-year-old Pittsburg man was arrested after he turned himself in to police in connection with the death of a 41-year-old Vallejo man at a bar in Antioch Friday evening, according to police.
The suspect, whose name has not yet been released, turned himself in to the Antioch Police Department on Friday night and will be booked into the Martinez Detention Facility on homicide charges, police said.
Shortly after 6 p.m., the Antioch Police Department received a report of a fight going on inside a bar at the Delta Bowl bowling alley located at 3300 Delta Fair Blvd., according to police.
Officers arrived at the bar to find the victim down and unresponsive, police said.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was later pronounced deceased, police said.
His death is being investigated as a homicide and anyone with information regarding the incident is encouraged to call Detective Stenger with the Antioch Police Department at (925) 779-6894.
