Suspect Arrested In San Francisco Outer Mission Fatal Stabbing
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- A man was arrested in connection with a fatal stabbing in San Francisco's Outer Mission neighborhood on Thursday, police said.
Pedro Zaldana-Ortiz, 23, was arrested Sunday on suspicion of killing 25-year-old Nelson Henriquez.
Henriquez was found stabbed in the first block of Regent Street around 9 p.m. Thursday by officers who had responded to a report of a fight, police Sgt. Daryl Fong said.
Henriquez was taken to San Francisco General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Homicide inspectors began investigating the case and identified Zaldana-Ortiz, a San Francisco resident, as the suspected stabber, Fong said.
He was located in the 1000 block of South Van Ness Avenue in the city's Mission District and was arrested on suspicion of murder.
