Suspect Arrested In Palo Alto Credit Union Robbery Crashed President's Motorcade Last Year
PALO ALTO (KCBS)— The suspect arrested for robbing Palo Alto's Provident Credit Union last Saturday was the same man who crashed President Obama's motorcade in the Peninsula last May.
Shortly after Palo Alto Police released surveillance video of Saturday's robbery of the Provident Credit Union, other law enforcement officials recognized the suspect as being a 50-year-old transient, Eddie Darrell Boyce Jr.

Last year onlookers were stunned as police arrested Boyce for crashing his car through a barricade on El Camino Real in Redwood City. Boyce later pleaded no-contest to evading police and received three-year's probation.
Last Saturday, Boyes allegedly handed a bank teller a note demanding cash and noted that he had a gun. It was the second instance that that branch of the credit union had been targeted this year. Both robberies have resulted in arrests.
