Suspects Arrested After Fatal San Francisco Potrero Hill Shooting
SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) - Two San Francisco men were arrested Sunday night on suspicion of fatally shooting another man in the Potrero Hill neighborhood.
The deadly shooting of the 33-year-old was precipitated by a dispute over a cell phone, police said Monday.
Two people, 29-year-old Antoine Gray and 18-year-old Toyia Taylor, were arrested early this morning after the 8:15 p.m. shooting in the 900 block of Connecticut Street on Sunday, according to police.
The victim was identified today by the medical examiner's office as Sylvestri Brown, of San Francisco.
Police said Brown was arguing outside with the two suspects, both also San Francisco residents, over the use of a cell phone.
The argument escalated and Gray allegedly shot Brown, police said.
"The suspect and the victim had an ongoing dispute that ended tragically," police spokesman Lt. Troy Dangerfield said.
Dangerfield would not elaborate on Taylor's alleged role in the shooting.
"She was clearly involved in the homicide," he said.
Brown was found shot once in the upper body, according to police.
He died at San Francisco General Hospital.
