Suspect Arrested After Crashing SUV Into Concord Storefront
CONCORD (CBS SF) -- A man was arrested on suspicion of driving under the influence after crashing his SUV into a sewing and vacuum shop window in Concord late Saturday night, a police sergeant said.
Around 9:31 p.m., the man backed his Ford Explorer into a front window at Monument Sew and Vac Center located at 1701 Monument Blvd, Sgt. Sam Staten said.
The crash left shards of broken glass on the ground. No injuries were reported.
The man then drove over some bushes before abandoning the car and fleeing the area. He was located a short time later and arrested on suspicion of DUI, Staten said.
