Super Bowl 50 Fever Spreads To Bay Area Landmarks, SF City Hall

SAN FRANCISCO (KPIX 5) -- Looks like Bay Area landmarks are getting in on the Super Bowl 50 fever.

The San Francisco Ferry Building was sporting a giant '50' on Saturday night. That's exactly how many days are left until Super Bowl 50.

Special Super Bowl 50 statues will also be on display around the Bay Area from now until game day. The first of 10 sculptures featuring the number 50 was unveiled Saturday at San Francisco City Hall.

It featured replicas of Super Bowl rings, along with giant gold numbers.

"These fifties will help celebrate the history of the Super Bowl," said Super Bowl 50 Host Committee CEO Keith Bruce. "Future 50's might showcase game day footballs, tickets, and confetti trophies."

Earlier Saturday, Levi's Stadium flipped the switch on its countdown scoreboard, marking fifty days until its biggest game ever.
