Sunday's Raiders Game In St. Louis May Be Moved To Indianapolis Due To Ferguson Riots
OAKLAND (CBS SF) -- The Oakland Raiders could be playing their Sunday game against the St. Louis Rams in Indianapolis if the situation in Ferguson escalates.
A NFL source told the Indy Star, "Indianapolis was chosen for its proximity. The Colts would provide infrastructure including ticket distribution, concession workers and even the sideline chain crew, but the game would be considered a league event and not a profitable opportunity for the Colts."
The Buffalo Bills had to move their game with the New York Jets to Detroit last Monday due to snow. Nearly 67,000 tickets were distributed for free with 56,044 fans attending the game. The Bills ended up providing full refunds to all ticket holders and approximately 12,000 season-ticket holders attending the game.
