San Jose Flight Diverted Over Suicidal Passenger
ALBUQUERQUE (AP) - A Continental Airlines flight from San Jose to Houston was on the ground in Albuquerque Wednesday morning after the crew decided to land because of a disruptive passenger.
Airport spokesman Dan Jiron said an individual on board the aircraft appeared to be suicidal, so the crew diverted the flight to Albuquerque.
Jiron said the aircraft landed about 9:30 a.m. Wednesday.
He says a passenger was taken into custody by Albuquerque's aviation police and FBI agents are on site conducting interviews.
A spokeswoman for the Houston-based airline had no immediate comment.
