Storm Could Dump 3 Feet Of Fresh Snow In Sierra
LAKE TAHOE (CBS SF) -- One of the biggest snowstorms to hit the Sierra in two years is set to dump up to three feet of fresh powder on the region's highest peaks.
Two to three feet of snow was forecast to fall after the storm passed through the Bay Area.
Over a foot of snow was expected to fall in the Lake Tahoe area.
Chains were required Thursday night along Interstate 80, Highway 89, and Highway 50 in the area.
