Broadway 'Stomp' Cast Drums Up Donations For Santa Clara Food Bank
SAN JOSE (KCBS) - The cast of the Broadway hit show 'Stomp' has partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank in the South Bay to Stomp Out Hunger.
The cast visited the food bank in Santa Clara County Thursday to draw much-needed attention to the issue of hunger.
Second Harvest is currently feeding nearly a quarter million people each month in San Mateo and Santa Clara counties. According to Michelle Berg of Second Harvest Food Bank, one in four people in Santa Clara and San Mateo counties are at risk of hunger. Most of them are families with children.
The cast of 'Stomp' is now doing its part to drum up donations to feed the hungry.

Stomp is a show that creates music using brooms, trash cans, matches and lighters. The show has been wowing audiences for 20 years and it's coming to San Jose in April.
Patrons can donate to the Second Harvest Food Bank when ordering tickets online (enter the code word HUNGER), or they can bring canned goods to donate when they come to see the show.
