Stockton Man Charged In Oakland Home Party Robbery
OAKLAND (AP) -- A 24-year-old Stockton man is facing charges in a home invasion robbery during a family birthday party in Oakland.
The Oakland Tribune reports that Romier Simmons was charged on Monday with multiple counts of residential robbery and burglary in the Nov. 23 heist.
Meanwhile, police have identified the second suspect in the case as 23-year-old Christopher Malbrough of Hayward. He remains at large.
Police say Simmons and Malbrough were armed with guns when they stormed the home in the 3300 block of Wisconsin Street where 19 people were attending the party and demanded valuables.
A 2-year-old boy allegedly had a gun put to his head and was threatened with death if any of the adults resisted. Police say a man was also pistol whipped.
Malbrough and Simmons allegedly made off with cash, jewelry and cell phones.
