Stinky Bandit Sought After Mountain View Bank Robbery
MOUNTAIN VIEW (CBS SF) -- Mountain View police were asking the public for help in identifying a malodorous man suspected of robbing a bank of more than $1,300 on Tuesday and fleeing after stuffing the cash into a blue bag, a police spokesman said Wednesday.
The man walked into the bank in the 400 block of Castro Street in Mountain View at 2:36 p.m. Tuesday and robbed the bank without showing or mentioning having a weapon, according to police Sgt. Saul Jaeger.
The suspect was described as a white man with a dark tan who wore a dark shirt under a tan colored one, faded blue jeans, construction-style boots, sunglasses and a hat with "Callaway" printed on it.
He also had an odor indicating that he had not bathed for a while, Jaeger said.
Anyone with information about the robbery is urged to call Mountain View police at (650) 903-6395 and reference case number 14-3389, or can send an anonymous text about it to 274637.
