Stephen Curry Battles Stephen Colbert In 'Late Show' Shootout
By Ryan Mayer, CBS Local Sports
Stephen Colbert has a problem with Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry. You see, they both spell their name the same way despite pronouncing it differently. Therefore, when you enter the first name Stephen into Google, that helpful list of top searches comes up and Curry, not Colbert, is tops on that list.
Curry was a guest on The Late Show with Colbert last night to promote the new NBA 2K16 video game that releases September 29, in which Curry is one of the cover athletes. So, Colbert proposed a simple solution to the problem. A long range shootout. No, not with basketballs.
Rather, the two would be attempting to do what every college student in dorms everywhere does. They would shoot their socks into a laundry basket pretending it was a basketball hoop. The stakes? The top result in Google search would be the winner's name.
Watch the video to see how that turned out.
