Steph Curry's Wife Ayesha Opens Barbecue-Theme Popup Restaurant In SF
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Warriors star Stephen Curry's wife Ayesha is joining forces with chef Michael Mina to open a popup restaurant in San Francisco Saturday.
The theme at "International Smoke" -- all things barbecue.
Curry promises the $45, four-course menu will reflect her Chinese, Jamaican, African and Polish roots.
"I'm Canadian-born but raised in the South -- in North Carolina," Curry told KPIX 5's Betty Yu. "My mom is Jamaican and Chinese and my dad is Polish and African-American. So I have this big, diverse background and now you can taste a bit of that in elevated style," Curry added.
International Smoke will be open Wednesday through Saturday nights until the end of summer. In addition to $45-per-person offering (served family-style), a $76-per-person option includes lobster.
