'Star Trek Beyond' Releases New Trailer
(KBCW) – It looks like J.J. Abrams other space reboot has released a trailer online. The third installment of the "Star Trek" series of films "Star Trek Beyond" hits YouTube. Watch the preview below.
Abrams took a back seat this time, taking on the producer reigns as "Fast and Furious" director Justin Lin took on the Captain's chair. The script is penned by Doug Jung, best known for a writer for HBO's "Big Love" and actor Simon Pegg, who plays "Scotty" in the film.
Also returning Chris Pine as "Captain Kirk," Zachary Quinto as "Mr. Spock," Zoe Saldana as "Uhura," Karl Urban as "Dr. Leonard McCoy," Anton Yelchin as "Chekov," and John Cho as "Sulu," plus new stars Idris Elba, Sofia Boutella and Joe Taslim.
"Star Trek Beyond" arrives in theaters on July 22, 2016.
