Stanford's Harbaugh Won't Attend Michigan Dinner
STANFORD (AP) ― Stanford football coach Jim Harbaugh said that his schedule would not allow him to attend a University of Michigan banquet honoring his 1985 Wolverines team later this week.
Harbaugh said on a conference call Tuesday that he would be on a recruiting trip and unable to go to the Michigan Football Bust team banquet on Thursday night.
Harbaugh's attendance could have been awkward with Michigan coach Rich Rodriguez's job status in doubt.
Harbaugh said he would not talk about any jobs other than the one he has with the Cardinal.
Michigan athletic director Dave Brandon said he would not make a decision on Rodriguez until after the Wolverines play in a bowl game.
