Sonoma County Jail Officer Charged With Molesting Girl
SANTA ROSA (CBS SF) - A Sonoma County Jail corrections officer is facing criminal charges that stem from allegations that he molested a girl in Santa Rosa late last month.
Stanley Tyrone Bragg, 42, was arrested by Santa Rosa police on Feb. 27, Assistant Sheriff Randall Walker said.
The arrest occurred the day after the alleged crimes happened.
Bragg has been charged with child cruelty likely to cause great bodily harm or death and committing a lewd act against a girl under age 16.
He is scheduled to enter a plea in Sonoma County Superior Court on March 22, and is being held in jail on $150,000 bail.
Deputy District Attorney Rosanne Darling said this afternoon that there was only one alleged incident involving the girl.
She said she could not release more information about the allegations or Bragg's relationship with the girl until she speaks to the girl's family.
Bragg has worked as a corrections officer since 2006 and is on unpaid administrative leave, Walker said.
