SoCal Rap Artist 'Mitchy Slick' Jailed In Marin County On Kidnapping, Human Trafficking Charges; Later Released
SAN LEANDRO (CBS SF) -- A rap artist who is believed to be a member of a notorious San Diego street gang has surrendered to Marin County sheriff's officials on charges of kidnapping and human trafficking.
40-year-old Charles LaSean Mitchell, known by his stage name 'Mitchy Slick,' was taken into custody Tuesday afternoon after a Marin County judge issued a warrant for his arrest, the sheriff's office said.
Mitchell was released from custody Thursday after the district attorney indicated more was time was needed to gather information on the case.
Mitchell is suspected of kidnapping an unidentified Southern California woman and keeping her captive in the Sleepy Hollow area of San Anselmo.

A press release from the Marin County Sheriff's Office said Mitchell had been sought during a high-risk search warrant at a home on Oak Knoll drive in San Leandro on August 22 but he was not found there at the time.
Mitchell is a suspected member of the Lincoln Park Bloods gang from San Diego, which has a history assaults and homicides, including against police officers, along with narcotics and weapons violations, pimping, according to the sheriff's office.
Mitchell was charged with kidnapping , human trafficking, terrorists threats, participating in a gang, and brandishing a firearm.
