Smoke In Cabin Forces Emergency Landing At San Francisco International
SAN FRANCISCO (AP) -- A United Airlines passenger jet has made an emergency landing at San Francisco International Airport after smoke fumes were reported in the cabin.
United Airlines spokesman Mike Trevino said the San Francisco-bound Flight 479, which originated in Las Vegas, landed safely at the airport around 7 p.m. Friday.
Trevino said there were 179 passengers and six crewmembers on board. There were no injuries.
It was not known what caused the smoke fumes.
