Small Quake Hits Near SF

SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS) _ The U.S. Geological Survey has revised the magnitude of an earthquake that rattled an area outside of San Francisco Friday afternoon.

The quake that hit at 2:29 p.m. was originally reported as a magnitude 3.5 quake, but has now been adjusted to a magnitude of 3.2.

The quake hit about three miles southwest of Daly City and there were no reports of damage or injuries.

KCBS received calls from Pacifica and various parts of San Francisco, including the Mission, Pacific Heights and the Richmond District when the quake hit.

Most callers said the quake lasted just a second, but was an intense shake.
