Small Earthquake Rattles South Bay
MILPITAS (CBS SF) -- The U.S. Geological Survey is reporting a small earthquake struck Saturday morning in Santa Clara County.
The tremor rattled an area six miles northeast of Milpitas at 12:19 a.m. and had a preliminary magnitude of 2.4, according to the USGS.
The epicenter was located eight miles northeast of Alum Rock and 11 miles northeast of San Jose City Hall. According to the USGS, the quake had a depth of 5.3 miles.
