Small 2.6 Magnitude Quake Shakes East Of Berkeley
BERKELEY (CBS SF) -- An earthquake with a preliminary magnitude of 2.6 was recorded near Berkeley Friday night, according to the U.S. Geological Survey.
The temblor was reported at 11 p.m. about 1 mile east-southeast of Berkeley, and roughly 2 miles north-northwest of Piedmont.
The earthquake had a depth of 6.5 miles, according to the USGS.
