Sit-In Held For WikiLeaks Private Outside Feinstein's SF Home
SAN FRANCISCO (BCN) -- Activists held a sit-in Sunday outside the San Francisco home of U.S. Sen. Dianne Feinstein to protest the treatment of a man being charged with disclosing classified information to the website WikiLeaks—and the group planned to hold a rally and news conference on the Golden Gate Bridge at noon.
KCBS' Chris Filippi Reports:
Members of the grassroots peace and social justice movement organization CODEPINK were stationed outside Feinstein's Lyon Street home at 9:30 a.m. to protest the "inhumane" treatment of Pfc. Bradley Manning, according to a CODEPINK release.
Manning is being held at the Marine Corps base at Quantico, Va.
CODEPINK also plans to address the continued operation of the Guantanamo Bay detention facility.
