Sisters Charged With Prostituting Young Women Out Of SF Richmond District Appear In Court
SAN FRANCISCO (KCBS)— Two sisters charged with pimping young women out of San Francisco Richmond District homes appeared in court Friday for the first time in their case, but their arraignment was rescheduled.
The sisters; 37-year-old Qiao He and 36-year-old Gaineng He, have been out on bail since shortly after their arrests on Monday, but were ordered back in court next week to enter their pleas. In the meantime, the defendants are expected to secure a Mandarin interpreter.
The He sisters are accused of prostituting seven young women out of two separate homes since at least last October through this past May.
District Attorney George Gascon said all of the charges against them are felonies. He totaled 16 counts altogether, seven of which are for pimping, seven for pandering and one each on conspiracy for pimping and conspiracy for pandering.

Prosecutors said the sisters placed ads on various websites and charged men up to $200 to have sex with young women.
Part of the evidence also indicates claims from the defendants to undercover agents that they brought in new women every Sunday. The sisters and their attorneys appearing with them in court declined to discuss the case.
The arraignment is now set for next Wednesday morning.
