Shoppers Already Camped Out At Colma Best Buy
COLMA (KCBS) - Some shoppers are taking no chances of missing out on those Black Friday deals.
People are already camped out in front of the Best Buy store in Colma, some having lined up since noon on Tuesday.
The store opens at 5 a.m. on Friday and 17-year-old Greg Wing has made this a tradition for three years.
KCBS' Margie Shafer Reports:
"I'm getting a stove for my mom and some netbooks and televisions," Wing said. "Depending on what I decide in the store, I hope to save between $600 and $1500."
Wing has about 20 friends to keep him company and when the parking lot empties, they just try to stay warm throughout the night.
"We have basketball, we have soccer, some football, frisbees, skateboards and bikes," he said. "We just go around, stuff to keep you warm and active. Later on, we're going to get a generator to charge our laptops."
The group takes turns to go home and shower and friends plan to bring them a turkey for a Thanksgiving meal.
