Pellet Gun Shooting Suspect Arrested After Early Morning Standoff In SF Mission District
SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) - A standoff that followed an alleged pellet gun shooting between roommates in San Francisco's Mission District early Tuesday morning ended when police took the suspect into custody.
The shooting was reported about 4:35 a.m. in the 2400 block of Bryant Street. It all started when a pair of roommates started arguing at an apartment on Bryant Street near 22nd at about 4:30 a.m. The suspect pulled out a pellet gun, according to police, and shot the other man.
The victim, who sustained non-life-threatening injuries, told police the man who'd shot him was still at their shared residence.
Police then searched the building, identified the suspect and eventually arrested him. Meantime, other residents of the building were evacuated, and the 27 Bryant re-routed.
The suspect's name has not yet been released.
The victim was taken to a hospital to be treated for his injuries, which are not considered life-threatening, police said.
