Shooting In SF SoMa Leaves 1 Dead, Another Critically Injured

SAN FRANCISCO (CBS SF) -- Police in San Francisco continue to investigate an early-morning shooting in the city's South of Market neighborhood that killed one woman and hospitalized another, a police spokesman said.

The shooting was reported at about 2:10 a.m. near Sixth and Jessie streets, San Francisco police spokesman Officer Gordon Shyy said.

Officers responding to the scene found two women suffering from gunshot wounds, Shyy said.

Both victims were taken to San Francisco General Hospital, where one was pronounced dead, Shyy said.

The second victim survived, but remained in life threatening condition on Sunday morning, police said.

No arrests have been made, and no suspect information was available.
